Chilhowee Octoberfest will be October 5-7, 2007. The eighth is Columbus Day, a holiday, which will make it an easier travel schedule for some.

GTA Glider Race
The GTA Glider Race will be held here with special emphasis for beginning cross-country pilots and racers. Gary Carter will be conducting a pilots meeting and lead and follow Friday, then Saturday evening Francois Pin will be giving his cross-country lecture. Come fly, watch, and learn.
Saturday: By afternoon soaring conditions improved with thermal activity attested to by the many solo and instructional flights already in progress....(pics are linked for viewing at full size) .
In order left to right, towing to launch, race task planning, one back from course & racer spouse ride.
